  1. Ligulalepis is cool, yes, and important, but wouldn’t the jaws of a cookie-cutter shark have been better?
    They’re open-ocean, yes, but their jaws are still more likely to be found in the bottom of a few-thousands year old lagoon than the jaws of a Devonian fossil.
